And
I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may
abide with you forever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot
receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he
dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
(John
14:16-17)
The Holy Spirit is a
gift from God to those of us who are saved. He did this to help us through
life, to navigate the world to stay on track with Jesus. The Holy Spirit is the light in the darkness
that we can see to keep us on the path of righteousness. Without the Holy Spirit, we would be lost,
not knowing right from wrong, not having discernment of things of the world,
and not being able to have confidence in our faith. The Holy Spirit is our
comforter, letting us know that Jesus does love us and wants us to be
successful in our walk to salvation with Him.
