Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:
Peace with all men. And holiness. Two very good principles to live by. The verse says that without these no man can see the kingdom of God. What this is basically saying is that you should love your neighbors and be holy. Two simple yet distinct concepts to live by.
Having peace, or love, of all men can be hard sometimes especially when you are wronged by someone. We are charged with forgiveness to others by the bible and by Christ. I find that it takes more energy to hold ill will towards others than it is to forgive and let go. This makes it easy for me to have peace with all men.
As for holiness, we must follow the teachings and examples Christ showed us during his time in this earth. It is a lifetime journey and we have two things that will help us to do this: the bible and the Holy Spirit. Bible is our written and living word of Christ. The words and teachings in the book will guide you to live a holy life and to ensure you stay on track with Jesus.
The Holy Spirit is our inner voice to also help us in our walk with Christ. Once we were saved we received the gift of the Holy Spirit. He is in our heart to help us discern what is right or wrong in this crazy world we live in., to keep us holy in the eyes of God.
The journey is not easy but with the bible and Holy Spirit we will finish our journey with the end being eternity in heaven with Christ.
